Dr. Filbert is a longtime Washington State resident who grew up in Eastern Washington. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington in 1986 and received his doctor of dental surgery in 1990, also from the University of Washington. He then was accepted to the General Practice Residency at UW Medical Center, a hospital-based advanced education program for general dentists emphasizing surgery, pediatric dentistry, and dental care for medically-compromised patients.

He opened his practice in Federal Way in 1991.

He is active in two study clubs that meet monthly and has completed hundreds of hours of advanced training, including restorative and cosmetic dentistry, orthodontics, dental implants.
